Welcome to PVOnline
Welcome Back PVOnline Students/Families!
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer. As we gear up to start the school year, I want to mention a few general items that are important and will be more specifically addressed in the orientation meeting prior to beginning online courses:
- Grades K-3 will now receive 2.5 hours of synchronous instruction, per day.
- Grades 4-6 will have one hour a week, per grade level, of synchronous learning.
- Grades 7-8 will have one hour, per subject area, per week, of synchronous learning.
- Grades 9-12 will continue to be asynchronous with students reaching out to the teacher via email, phone, or chat for help and guidance. Additionally, we are very pleased to announce that this fall, PVOnline will be piloting a few high school courses in Canvas, which is the new learning management system that all PVOnline classes grades 4-12 will eventually be transitioning to for fall of 2024. If your student does take part in a Canvas Pilot Course, you and your student will be notified. We know that communication and transparency is essential during the pilot time frame.
Students, make sure to log into your classes beginning XX.
All of us at PVOnline are very excited about the positive changes occurring this year and are thrilled to provide students the best online education possible. As always, please reach out to the teachers or staff with any questions or concerns.
Let's have a great year!
